TEAM MEMBERS: Alexandria Southern, Julian Pridemore, & Reagan Maple
OVERVIEW:
Enlight is a program that focuses on educating viewers about mental health and understanding those who are affected by it. By “shining a light” on unknown experiences, Enlight provides a safe environment where one can share and learn more about their mental health. Each floor allows viewers to learn more about three different mental health cases, four floors providing a total of twelve cases. The interactive exhibit is placed at a lighthouse, a unique landmark that guides ships, Enlight plays a similar role by bringing the community together and being a guide through many hardships.
GOAL:
Enlight is a program dedicated to providing a safe and welcoming environment for viewers who wish to learn more about mental health. Mental health cases can be very misunderstood, or very difficult to truly understand. Enlight focuses on broadening the audience’s horizons and creating a more understanding community. With interactive experiences, twelve different cases of mental health are integrated into the exhibit. With space provided in a lighthouse, the Enlight building is a significant landmark that is a beacon to the community. Visitors may ascend through the building as they learn more about mental health and reaching out to those who are in need.
